Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Drive

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. The mission is based on Mark 10:14 “Let the little children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Out of this biblical command Samaritan’s Purse partners with churches worldwide to demonstrate the God’s love in the gospel to children in need. They accomplish this mission by sending shoeboxes full of items to share the good news and make disciples of all nations.

Our church has been faithfully participating in this shoebox ministry for several years. The shoebox drive has been a tangible way to share God’s love in Christ around the world. There are two main ways you can be involved in this missions opportunity. First of all, you can pick up a shoebox at the church and fill it with the suggested items according to the age group that you choose. Please choose if you are packing for a girl or a boy. As well, you must decide if you are sending it to a child in the age ranges of 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14 years old. Please pack these boxes with quality toys, school supplies and personal care items. Then, please bring the packed shoebox back to the church by Sunday Nov 13.

The second way you can be involved is by giving money for the Parish youth to pack the shoebox for you. They desire to pack as many boxes as possible this year to send to these children in need. Please go to the Parish giving drop down menu to donate money for the youth to pack a shoebox this year.

Thank you for participating in this tangible mission opportunity with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas child.
