In June we mentioned that we officially had a signed contract with our General Contractor and that erosion control work would be starting soon, followed by heavy equipment on site in early July.
Well, that clearly didn’t happen.
Unfortunately we were hit with some issues in regards to our final grading plan which delayed the start of erosion control.
Everything should be smoothed out now and we should have erosion control starting early August and heavy equipment should be on site by middle to late August.
We know…many of you have heard this before. It’s hard to build up hope and have it let down. Delay after delay seems to come our way with this project. To be honest, it has been wearing on all our hearts too. However, we still choose to take heart!
But what does that even mean?
Take Heart means to gain courage or confidence: to begin to feel better and more hopeful.
In Scripture we find verses like these which use the same phrase:
Psalm 31:24
“Be strong, and take heart, all you who wait for the LORD!”
Matthew 9:22
Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.”
John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
**We encourage you to go and read the full context of these verses**
Continually, the Bible tells those who are feeling discouraged, who feel hopeless, who feel like they can’t seem to get out of the rut they are in to Take Heart!
God’s plans for God’s people done in His timing cannot be thwarted.
We want to assure you, we have a team that is working daily to keep this project moving forward. We are so sorry for all the delays. We ask all of you (and ourselves) to TAKE HEART and continue to pray through these delays.
